ELHAM SAADATIAN
UX Designer (Vancouver)
Elham Saadatian, who was born in Tehran , graduated from high school in the field of Physics and Mathematics in 1999. Later, she enrolled at the Faculty of Computer Engineering of Azad University North branch of Tehran , majoring in the field of Software Engineering, where she completed her Bachelor degree four years later. Then she worked for four years in well known Engineering, Banking and Research Companies. She further pursued her studies in the Faculty of Computer Science University Putra Malaysia Department of Multimedia and researched in the area of Augmented Reality, Graduated in 2009.
She joined Keio-NUS Cute Center (Mixed Reality Lab) as a UX researcher in Natural Feature Tracking Project.
She has worked in Keio-NUS CUTE Center , where her interests focus on various topics regarding interactive media design and development, mediated intimate communication, human robot interaction, context aware computing, and adaptive agent modeling.

She is now a user experience researcher working with SIAT, SFU Vancouver and AIC group, UK

XOXO is an intimate haptic interface for interpersonal communication through hugging and kissing.
Supports context aware communication through probabilistic inference and sharing of users status.
Using machine learning and signal processing algorithms interpretes the meaning of baby cries.
An augmented reality interface for education through entertainment.
Supports kissing across distance through minimal telepresence robot
Supports spatial presence across distance through physical avatars. Physical avatars emulate the body languages of the remote partners and convey the sensation of attachment and self-extension through personalization.
